In its 2007 session the Minnesota House of Representatives is again reviewing legislation that mandates the use of certain data formats by government entities. House File 176 was introduced January 17, 2007. This new bill represents a significant departure from a bill introduced last year and focuses on specific technologies, such as XML and spreadsheets.
